Category :: WHAT SPECIES IS THIS?
Taken at Loch Laggan, Near Spean Bridge, Scotland,
I saw it in the coastal mountains of Epirus (NW Greece). Does anyone recognise the species? It is not Melanargia galathea, which also flew in abundance there.

This was ina cage in a restaurant in southern China (I know....horrifying). It was probably18" long not including the tail which was long and bushy. Bosy reminded me of a squirrel but it was much bigger.....and the blue EYES. Need to know what it was
Large flying beetle I found in the Philippines.
could confirm what this bird was? One person I contacted thought it could be a singing starling? This photo shows its nest structure. It was observed in Papua new Guinea harassing / mobbing Brahminy Kites. Do you have any idea why it would do this behaviour toward the kites? I read that the relation of the Singing starling (also in the starling family), the Mynah is known to "mob" other species that try and nest in its territory (http://www.discoverlife.org/mp/20o?search=Acridotheres+tristis), as they are both in the starling family could we attribute this behaviour recorded in mynah to the singing starling?
Best Wishes,
Olivia

This picture was taken in Uruguay, near the Atlantic coast, near Punta del Este. Would you know what species it is? Thank you
